Erin Rogers Odom is recipient of Sibylla and Kenneth Peters graduate scholarship

 Erin Rogers Odom of Jonesboro and a graduate student at Arkansas State University has accepted the Sibylla and Kenneth Peters graduate scholarship to continuing studying at Arkansas State.
Some of her achievements and activities include serving as Arkansas Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (ACIP) chairperson for mathematics, serving on the Kindergarten Center Leadership Team and assisted in designing focus and curriculum guides for literacy and math. 
She also participated in the grant-funded Connect the Dots Math Program, assisted in the implementation of parent workshops on discipline and academic support.
Odom is currently teaching kindergarten at Jonesboro Kindergarten Center and is working on a master's degree in Educational Leadership.
An active member of First Baptist Church in Jonesboro, she is the daughter of Dede Long and David Long and the late Eddie J. Rogers. She has three children: Mac (aged 5) and twins Addie Blake and Harry (aged 3). 
The Sibylla and Kenneth Peters scholarship is awarded to a student who demonstrates the abilities, personal qualities and scholarship conducive to becoming an outstanding teacher.
