Dr. Melissa Yawn has joined the St. Bernards First Care Clinics and is seeing patients at the new First Care-Hilltop facility at 3637 B East Johnson Ave. (east of Bill’s Market).

Yawn is a family practice physician who earned her M.D. from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She completed a family practice residency at the University of Tennessee St. Francis in Memphis.

Originally from Marion, Yawn earned a Bachelor of Science in microbiology at the University of Arkansas.

She is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and holds membership in the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.

The First Care-Hilltop clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 8 a.m. to noon on Fridays. Patients can make appointments by calling First Care at 972-8181.

The Hilltop clinic is the newest of the First Care Clinics. Other First Care clinics are located at 4515 East Matthews Ave. and 1001 West Parker Road, and the Fast Care (urgent care) Clinic is located at 333 Red Wolf Blvd. Patients may make appointments at the Hilltop, Matthews and Parker Road clinics, and they can be seen as walk-ins at Fast Care.
