 United Way of Northeast Arkansas Announces Nanette Heard as Interim Executive Director United Way of Northeast Arkansas is pleased to announce Nanette Heard will serve as Interim Executive Director. She will replace Carole Damron, who recently retired.Heard brings a wealth of experience to this position which she has gained in her six years of service to United Way as Accounting Manager. She also holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Arkansas, as well as a bachelor's degree in accounting from Arkansas State University. "I am so excited about our opportunities in going forward," said Heard. "We have a wonderful, experienced staff at United Way and we can never say enough about our volunteers. Without them, we would cease to exist." United Way of Northeast Arkansas is working to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health. These are the building blocks for a good life - a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement and good health.
