Red Wolves Seniors Invited to Play in All-Star Game
Jan 12, 2012

By Lisa Turner

Arkansas State Red Wolves seniors LB Demario Davis, SS Kelcie McCray and RB Jermaine Robertson have been invited to Little Rock next month to showcase their skills in The Players All-Star Classic, a national north vs. south CFB honors game for players capable of playing at the next level.

Tickets went on sale Wednesday for the Feb. 4 game at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock where pro scouts will be on hand studying participants. Players selected for "Battle For The Rock" will spend the week preceding the event in meetings and discussions designed to help them ease into the process of preparing for April's 2012 NFL Draft and other professional football opportunities that may present themselves.

Tickets are available at http://playersallstarclassic.com/ticket_sales.html, $40 club seats, $15 general admission. The Players All-Star Classic is set for 3 p.m. kickoff and will be televised on the CSS cable sports network.

Well-known NFL and United Football League (UFL) coaches Kurt Schottenheimer and Martin Bayless will serve as head coaches of this year’s game, with Schottenheimer coaching the South team and Bayless leading the North team. According to a media release from The Players All-Star Classic, both coaches just finished coaching this season in the UFL and have impressive football resumes to draw upon to help prepare the NFL prospects who will be playing in their final college football game.
