Aug 01, 2012

Gregg Langford Bookout Funeral Home and Harps Grocery Store teamed up to support the “Ride for a Cure” on Saturday July 28th. Together they donated 5 cases of bananas for the ride. Gregg’s Community Ambassador, Sarah Gokey, also volunteered her time and helped to hand out water and food at Pit Stop #5 that was at the finish line on the ride. Gregg’s manager, Bill Bean, helped load up supplies for the Pit Stops along the 10,20, and 50 mile courses. Staff from various departments of St. Bernard’s Hospital and Health and Wellness Center had a strong showing of volunteers. Gear Heads bike shop donated the tent for Pit Stop #5, and Jeff from Gear Heads volunteered all day as well. Sarah said, “I love Jonesboro! They had over 160 riders participate in the Ride for a Cure. That is amazing! We had so much fun, and all for a incredible cause!”.
