Red Wolves Announce 2013 Football Camps

The Arkansas State football team has announced its dates for summer football camps, set to take place over the months of June and July and available to age groups ranging from kindergarten to adults over 21.

There will be one-day high school team camps held June 1 and June 3 at the Arkansas State Football Complex, where the teams will receive skill instruction and compete in drills, 7 on 7, competitions against the other teams and more. The cost of the camp is $35 per camper if registering before May 15 and $45 per camper if registering after May 15. The fee covers camp tuition, lunch, and an Arkansas State item.

There are also two high school individual mini camps scheduled for June 2 and July 19 at the Arkansas State Football Complex. The mini camps are for students that will be entering grades 9-12 in the fall of 2013. They are one-day camps where the campers will participate in on-field practice sessions, agility work and more. The June 2 minicamp fee is $30 for campers that register before May 15 and $40 for those that register after May 15. The July 19 mini camp is also $30 for students that register before June 15 and $40 for those signing up after June 15.

The Future Red Wolves Camp is designed for boys entering grades K-8 in the fall of 2013. The camp, a three-day event, will be broken into different groups according to school grade levels and on-field positions in order to allow as much individual skill instruction as possible. Those attending will have the opportunity to learn football fundamentals from the Arkansas State football coaching staff. Practices will be at Liberty Bank Stadium and the ASU practice fields. The camp costs $105 per camper and $80 for any additional siblings for those that register before May 15. The cost is $115 per camper and $90 per additional sibling for those that register after May 15 or are walk-ups. The fee covers camp tuition and an A-State item.

The Red Wolves’ coaching staff will also hold a Special Teams Camp June 7, which is open to deep snappers, punters, and kickers that will be entering grades 7-12 in the fall of 2013. The camp will start at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at approximately 4:00 p.m., and those attending will receive instruction from the Arkansas State coaching staff. The fee is $175 per camper when registering before May 15 and $185 when registering after May 15 or walking up the day of the event. The fee covers camp tuition, lunch, and an Arkansas State item.

The Bryan Harsin Fantasy Camp will take place June 7-8 and is for men aged 21 years and older. The camp is designed for guys that want to know what it takes to play for coach Bryan Harsin. The camp will feature an exciting weekend of fellowship, story-telling, offensive and defensive meetings and much more. The goal is to give campers an idea of what it’s like to be on a championship team. Check-in for the camp will begin at 5 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 2840 S. Caraway Rd. in Jonesboro.

There are four different levels of experience available to campers, including a $2,500 owner level where campers will receive access to one pre-game speech, one round of golf with A-State coaches, lunch with the coaches, one sideline pass for a home game, exclusive access to motivational videos, a jersey, team gear, and hotel room for two nights.

Boys entering grades K-8 and 9-12 around the Texarkana area will have a chance to attend the Texarkana Mini Camp on June 15 at Arkansas High School, located at 1500 Jefferson Ave. in Texarkana, Ark. The campers will participate in on-field practice sessions, agility work, meetings with the coaching staff, and more. The cost is $30 for those that register before May 15, while $40 is the price for campers that register after May 15 or are walk-ups. The fee covers camp tuition and an Arkansas State item.

A 7-on-7 camp will be held July 18 at the Arkansas State football complex. The camp is designed for high school coaches to bring their team’s skill players to receive skill instruction and compete in a 16-team tournament. Each team is guaranteed at least four games. The camp begins at 10:00 a.m. and concludes at approximately 6:30 p.m. The cost of the camp is $200 per team (up to 20 players). If a team has more than 20 players, it’s $10 for each additional player. Coaches should make their payment at check-in the day of the event.

The offensive line and defensive line camp is also set for July 18 at the football complex, and is for students entering grades 9-12 in the fall of 2013. It’s a one-day camp where campers will participate in on-field practice sessions, agility work, and more. The camp runs from 10:00 a.m. to around 6:00 p.m. The cost is $20 for campers that register before June 15 and $30 for those that register after June 15 or are walk-ups. The fee covers camp tuition and an Arkansas State item.
