At Out of the Dark we believe that teen drug abuse and addiction prevention is a major key to solving what has become an epidemic in every community and since our state has fallen short in funding this type of education for our kids it is up to each community to step up to do so.

In this regard, we will be bringing national motivational speaker, Mr. Milton Creagh a/k/a “Bigg Milt”, back to Jonesboro this October for two (2) free community public presentations and to speak at several of our schools.

Bigg Milt is one of the most powerful and entertaining motivational speaker in America who speaks to over 200,000 kids and parents annually about the choices they make every day concerning drugs, alcohol and violence in our communities. In October of 2009, we partnered with The Elks National Drug Awareness Program to bring the Bigg Milt “Ur Choice, Ur Voice” tour to Jonesboro. After speaking to over 1,000 students at Jonesboro High School, Dr. Mike Skelton said, “I witnessed what I believe to be the best assembly/speaker that I have seen in my entire educational career….He was captivating with his anti-drug message but he also drove home his message by demanding attention and respect.”

On October 7th Bigg Milt is scheduled to speak at the Parker Park Community Center and on October 8th he will speak at the Nettleton Performing Arts Center. Both of these public presentations are free to the public and will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Also, while in Jonesboro, Bigg Milt will give on campus student presentations at nine (9) of our public schools. Here is Bigg Milt’s complete speaking schedule:

As one of the most in demand speakers over the past several years, Bigg Milt has been a guest on CNN, TBN; FOX’s Fox on Family, BET’s Screen Scene, and The Amanda Lewis Show and featured in Upscale, Jet, Belle, and Right On magazines as well as hundreds of newspapers around the country. He has conducted workshops in 49 states, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, Africa and Canada. He has also presented at four NFL Super Bowls, three NCAA Men’s Final Fours, the United Auto Workers’ Work/Family Balance Conference, the US Conference of Mayors Drug Symposium, and the Justice Department’s Diversity Conference.
