2011 Renewable Energy Conference

ASU's College of Agriculture and Technology will hold its 2011 Renewable Energy Conference on Monday, April 18, from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Spring River Room of ASU’s Reng Student Services Center/Student Union Auditorium, 101 N. Caraway Road. The conference is organized by ASU’s Renewable Energy Technology program. The event is free.The annual Renewable Energy conference will feature invited speakers from industry, research, outreach, and education communities in the emerging areas of renewable energy. Experts will provide overviews of current efforts and challenges in various areas of renewable energy. This conference also provides an opportunity for the researchers in different sectors of renewable energy to present their work.The conference will present research papers and posters. Research papers are solicited within the broad scope of renewable energy and energy efficiency. Subject areas of interest include biomass feed stocks and biofuels, conversion and processing methods for bio-based products, materials and methods for harnessing solar energy, solar photovoltaics, nanomaterial in energy applications, hydrogen production, advances and applications of wind energy, energy conservation and efficiency, energy transmission and distribution, and energy economics. Last year’s conference numbered more than 140 attendees from more than 40 state and regional organizations.
