Arkansas Science Festival's Technology-Assisted Mindfulness for Stress Reduction
From: Oct 7th, 2015 @ 6:30 pm To: Oct 7th, 2015 @ 8:00 pm | < Previous Page |
Mindfulness is a non-judgmental way of paying attention to our thoughts and feelings. Biofeedback is a process of becoming aware of physiological functions using instruments that provide information on the activity of these systems (e.g., heart rate). Biofeedback can help us to better understand the physiological reactions to stress caused by our mental chatter and can help us experience relaxation that results from quieting our mind.
During this 30-minute session you will learn how to practice mindfulness while listening to relaxing music and you will receive biofeedback from an emWave device that measures heart rate variability, and tells you how balanced your nervous system is.
