ASU - Jonesboro: ASU SBTDC seminar to focus on "Search Engine Optimization" for
business growth
JONESBORO -- The Arkansas State University Small Business and Technology
Development Center (SBTDC) and the Mountain Home and Norfork Lake Chambers of
Commerce will offer a seminar on "Search Engine Optimization for Small Businesses"
at the Baxter County Library in Mountain Home, Tuesday, March 22. The seminar will
run from 1-4 p.m.
Seminar instructor, Christi Wharton of Wharton Website Design and Marketing, will
walk attendees through the basics of improving searches for websites, social media
sites and other online marketing.
"Customers are searching for information about you, your business, your product and
service online every day." said Herb Lawrence, ASU SBTDC director. "The real question
is whether your online sites or your competition will be provided through search
engines.
"This workshop introduces attendees to the basics of optimizing their sites for search.
It is definitely created for the busy small business owner, especially those without a lot
of online marketing experience. Understanding how to optimize your sites will improve
your ability to be found online and convert more visitors into leads for your business."
Cost is $35 per person, $25 for Mountain Home area residents and Norfork Lake
Chamber members, and $20 for ASU-Mountain Home faculty, staff and students.
Register by calling the ASU SBTDC at (870) 972-3517, e-mail to asusbtdc@astate.edu
or online through http://asbtdc.ualr.edu/training/jonesboro.asp.
The workshop is co-sponsored by the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce,
Norfork Lake Chamber of Commerce, Baxter County Library, Arkansas State
University-Mountain Home, First Community Bank, First National Banking Company
and Liberty Bank of Arkansas.
