ASU Symphonic Winds concert

The Department of Music will present the ASU Symphonic Winds in a spring concert, “Relationships – Music For Spring,” Monday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Riceland Hall, Fowler Center. The Arkansas State Symphonic Winds are a large ensemble of winds and percussion taught and conducted by Dr. Kenneth Carroll. The concert is free and open to the public. From the familiar sounds of band classics to the exciting world of “found percussion”, the Symphonic Winds concert offers something for everyone. The concert will include performances of “Our Yesterdays Lengthen Like Shadows” by Samuel Hazo; “Amparito Roca” by Jaime Texidor; “Silence Overwhelmed” by Brian Balmages; “TranZendental Danse of Joi” by James Bonney; and “Grace Praeludium” by W.
