St. Bernards will host a new program called “Baby College” on Tuesday, Aug. 5. Designed for expectant parents it’s an evening of “higher learning” for parents-to-be. And there’s something included for everyone in the family – mom, dad and even siblings.
Open to interested expectant parents at no charge, it will be a fun-filled evening that includes brief presentations on car seat safety, fitness tips from specialists that will be helpful during prenatal care as well after the baby is born and lots more.
Participants will have opportunity to tour the St. Bernards Birthcare Center and the region’s only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and will be able to meet physicians who specialize in caring for babies, labor and delivery nurses and the St. Bernards breastfeeding education team.
Moms will get a preview of great products for both mom and baby, and dads will have some “diaper dudes for dad” time so they can learn the finer points of diapering duty. In addition, there will be a special siblings class. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers with the St. Bernards nursing team.
Mothers will be able to pre-register for their deliveries at the meeting.
One set of parents will leave with a brand new infant car seat.
