LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Bike MS: Rock’n Hot Ride 2013 is an annual two-day, fundraising cycling event that raises funds and awareness for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Bike MS: Rock’n Hot Ride tours the scenic views of Central Arkansas and the historic Spa City with an overnight in Hot Springs Village. Taking place September 7-8, 2013, participants will enjoy a scenic ride while making an impact on MS.
"Bike MS: Rock’n Hot Ride is an exciting opportunity for cyclists, sponsors, volunteers and people living with multiple sclerosis to connect to one another and our mission," said Ray Mack, Vice President of Development for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Arkansas. "The camaraderie and shared experience of raising awareness and funds makes the weekend a truly special experience. With each mile behind us and each dollar raised, we are moving closer to a cure.
Bike MS: Rock’n Hot Ride 2013 offers a round-trip route starting in North Little Rock on Saturday, Sept. 7. After an overnight celebration in Hot Springs Village, cyclists will enjoy the scenic journey back to North Little Rock to cross the Finish Line. About Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system, interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.1 million people worldwide.
