This is more than a talk. With wit, style, and an English accent, Michael Gray uses great records and rare footage to show how hugely Dylan has been inspired by the blues and how much of its poetry has been smuggled inside his own, highly influential writing. This talk looks at the how the blues was a conduit for bringing the everyday speech of black Americans and the South into the mainstream of the country's culture. Michael Gray’s events are always lively, spontaneous and acute, offering a thoroughly entertaining, fresh account of Dylan’s achievement and a thrilling exposition of blues & its poetry.
