Cinema311 presents Juli Jackson's 45RPM

Local Feature Film Screens Close To Home

Jonesboro, AR – October 16, 2013 - The Arts@311 will host a public event presenting the award-winning feature film 45RPM made by Paragould filmmaker, Juli Jackson. Showtimes are at 2pm and 7pm on Sunday October 20th at 311 S. Church Street in Jonesboro. Tickets are $10 at the door or reservations can be made by email: TAA311@idcconsult.com.

45RPM is a dark comedy road movie that follows Charlie, an artist seeking a connection between her work and her deceased father’s music, as she teams up with Louie, an obsessive record collector. Together they scour Arkansas in search of an elusive 45 record that hails from the heyday of ‘60s garage rock.

The film was shot and produced in Northeast Arkansas, utilizing many talented local artists, musicians and filmmakers. Over the past year, 45RPM has screened at national film festivals gaining recognition and awards including Made in Arkansas: Best Feature at the Little Rock Film Festival, Best Feature at The Philadelphia Film & Animation Festival, Audience Choice at Knoxville Film Festival and Best Arkansas Connection at Fayetteville’s Offshoot Film Festival. 

Sunday’s event will be the first time 45RPM has screened in the area and marks a homecoming for the film. Q&A discussions with writer/director Juli Jackson will follow each screening. Artwork from the film created by Mandy Maxwell of Paragould will be on display. Attendees will also have the chance to enjoy a live music performance before the 7pm screening by singer/songwriter Justin Vinson of Jonesboro who recorded original music for the film.
