Community Theatre Workshop: Staging a Murder Mystery
Join us for this fun and educational workshop on the Murder Mystery genre in American community theatre! Participants will see this production evolve from auditions to the final performance and may also observe or get involved in working with a community theater production. Participants have attendance and participation flexibility and are not required to be part of the show’s cast or crew: however, all are welcome to audition or volunteer for crew positions. This workshop is for individuals interested in any aspect of community theater, theater troupes or mystery buffs who like stage drama and murder mysteries. The workshop will follow the production of Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None, produced by the Greene County Fine Arts Council. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to: attend an orientation session on Tuesday, June 21 (6:30-8:30 p.m.); observe an audition, observe three regular rehearsals, participate in one set workshop day, observe a dress rehearsal and attend a final performance. (The cost of admission for the final performance is included in the tuition price.) Participants will have flexibility to schedule their observation sessions with the instructor.
