LIVEUNITED” AT 19th ANNUAL DAY OF CARING

JONESBORO,Ar. August 31, 2011 Mark your calendars! TheUnited Way of Northeast Arkansas 19th Annual Day of Caring isFriday, October 7, 2011. The Day of Caring begins at 8:00 at the St. BernardsAuditorium with breakfast (provided by St. Bernards Medical Center) served from8:00 – 8:30. Lunch for our volunteer workers will also be served at theAuditorium from 11:30 – 1:00. Projects will be ongoing throughout the day.

Bytaking time out of your day to help others through volunteering, you—along withyour colleagues and 500 or so others in our community—can help make a lastingdifference.

On the Day of Caring volunteers come together andthen disperse into the community, armed with paintbrushes, shovels, rakes andmore, ready to make a lasting difference in our neighbors’ lives at non-profitorganizations of all kinds. Your group might build affordable housing,add a fresh coat of paint to a fence or wall, bathe a shelter dog, sort andpack food at a food bank, or spruce up landscaping. Groups and individualsmight work all day or only in the morning or afternoon.
