ASU Delta Jazz Workshop
The Delta Jazz Workshop is a four day workshop in which students will have the opportunity to perform with a jazz big band, learn about the history of jazz, and learn about music theory. Students will also have nightly concerts held by workshop clinicians and professional musicians from our area. The cost of the workshop for students staying on campus is $175 per student . The cost for students who commute is $100.00 per student.

The Application and a deposit of $75.00 are due by June 12, 2013. The balance is due on or before the first day of camp.

Payments made on the first day of camp will be made at the Cashier's Window on the second floor of the Student Union.
Who Attends:
Junior/Senior High Students, directors, professional musicians; anyone with an interest in Jazz, the American art form.
Housing:
Workshop participants who stay on campus will be housed in the deluxe QUAD Residence Life facility supervised by trained and experienced counselors. Housing is in individual rooms, four per quad. Housing assignments are determined at registration. Participants should bring bed and bath linens.
Registration:
Registration will take place at the QUAD Residence Life facility on Monday, July 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. All participants must register prior to auditioning for the Workshop.
Schedule:
Classes and rehearsals are scheduled from 8 AM to 9 PM daily with time for rest between events and meals. Each day concludes with the evening concert featuring outstanding jazz professionals. Individual schedules are determined by audition placement.
Audition:
After registration, each Workshop participant will complete a brief audition to determine ability level and band placement. The audition will consist of scales and sight reading.
Continuing Education Credit:
Several classes/lectures are available for educators seeking skill development. These classes result in Continuing Education Credit available through the College of Education of Arkansas State University.
