NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation will be host the 13th annual Duck Classic on December 10th and 11th 2015 – an event that draws in thousands from a 10 state radius and has garnered national attention and support.

The event kicks off with the Duck Classic Banquet on Thursday, December 10th, located at the NEA District Fairgrounds. Doors open at 5:00 pm and dinner starts at 5:30 pm. Tickets ($45) may be purchased in advance at DNW Outdoors or NEA Baptist Clinic Administration (4802 E. Johnson – 3rd floor). More information can be found on www.duckclassic.com.

In addition to the dinner, banquet attendees will have the opportunity to participate in various raffles and both silent and live auctions. Items this year include hunting trips, a lab puppy, zero turn lawn mower, braces, jewelry, gift baskets and more.

Gland Classic Raffle winners will also be drawn during the banquet. Only 600 Grand Classic Raffle tickets are sold, with 14 chances to win including the Duck Truck – a 2010 GMC Sierra 4X4 (a $16,000 value – with over $14,000 worth of additional accessories), a 2016 Polaris Ranger XP900, a Benelli Nova, a Stoeger M3500 and 10 chances to win $200 cash. Tickets may be purchased at DNW Outdoors, Barton Powersports and NEA Baptist Clinic.

Those interested in participating in the competitive duck hunt will need to turn in the form soon as spots are limited. Teams can enter online at www.duckclassic.com or contact Kim Provost at 870-934-5128.

The hunt will take place the morning of December 11th and is based on a scoring system; points are allotted for types and amounts of ducks. Each team will have a host/blind monitor to keep track of the scoring. When the hunt is over, each team will check-in, where lunch is provided and the team with the most points and the earliest recorded score will be awarded as the winner. There will be additional prizes awarded as well.

With blinds (timber and rice fields) donated from all over Northeast Arkansas, teams of four will compete for prizes. The event provides participants with the opportunity to hunt some of the top spots in the area that otherwise may not be accessible. Most notably, the banquet draws in over 1700 people from all over the U.S. The success of Duck Classic has been recognized nationally on the television show Drakes Migration Nation.
