Please join us on June 4, 2011 for the 9th Annual Gary Schuchardt 5K Trail Run/Walk at Craighead Forest Park! This memorial race will begin at 8:00 a.m. across from Pavilion 1. There is a $5.00 discount for on-line registration at www.racesonline.com for adults. Kids 19 & under may register on-line for $10.00. Paper registration is available for adults & kids for $20.00 before May 25. Registration the day of the race is $25.00 & will be from 6:30 - 7:30.
Corporate Teams may also register on-line & will have special awards that day for: team with most participants at the event, best corporate team t-shirt, corporate team raising the most money & corporate team with the fastest average time.
Running caps & shirts will be given to people registering before May 25.
Gary moved to Jonesboro at age 16 & returned again after going to college at the University of Missouri & then living and working in Georgia. He became very active in the community & served as director of the Metro Rotary Club & President of the University Rotary Club. He also served as Vice President of United Way, President of the Jonesboro Jaycees & of the NEA District Fair Board & Chairman of the Board of Directors of SCAN. He passed away at age 50 in January of 2003.
