Event Description: In the spirit of American Heart Month, the second annual Heart Day at NEA will help raise awareness about heart health in the community and provide the resources that are needed to live a heart healthy lifestyle.
The free event will offer participants the opportunity to partake in Cardiovascular Disease Risk Screenings including a full lipid panel, total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and LDL, as well as glucose, blood pressure, BMI, heart rate and blood ox screenings. In addition to offering free health screenings, Heart Day at NEA will also provide educational information on various heart health topics – including prevention, wellness, risk factors, symptoms, treatment and more. Each participant will receive a goody bag and be entered into the chance to win door prizes.
