HIPAA Training:

Overview of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act

It’s never too late to get your HIPAA Compliance Plan in order.  The Office of Civil Rights suggests that providers remain in an “audit ready state.”  Get your office and staff on board and up to date with HIPAA compliance with an overview of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, including Privacy, Security, and the HITECH Rules.  HIPAA requires that all covered entities have written policies, procedures and HIPAA-compliant forms, conduct self-analysis, and provide staff training pursuant to the development and implementation of standards for the exchange, storage and protection of Protected Health Information, and specific policies on management of Privacy/Security breaches.  Non-compliance may result in monetary penalties enforceable by the Office of Civil Rights, as well as many other tangible costs and intangible costs to your practice.  Instructor Trish Chandler is a Certified HIPAA Professional by the HIPAA Academy and provides HIPAA compliance assistance and training through SHARP, Inc. of Jonesboro.

Date:  Tuesday, March 28, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
