PAINT THE TOWN GREEN WEEK
April 14 -20, 2012
Sat. April 14th, 8am until noon: Recycle Day at ASU Farmer’s Market
Abilities Unlimited will be collecting items for resale in their thrift store, incl. furniture, dishware, working appliances
Habitat for Humanity will collect building materials such as scrap lumber, cabinets and hardware to be used in building projects
Marck Recycling will accept #1 & 2 plastics, aluminum, cans, newspaper and cardboard
NEA Food Bank will accept plastic grocery bags to use in their food distribution services
Suddenlink Communications will accept consumer electronics such as old computers, radios, cell phones and televisions
Legacy Landfill will have blue recycle bags on hand along with information on how to use them for household recycling.

Tree Planting and Mayoral Proclamation sponsored by Urban Forestry Council and Modern Woodmen of the World
April 16th – 20th Recycled Art Designs on display in Center Court of Mall at Turtle Creek
Frito Lay has provided items that students from area schools will use to create artistic designs.

The Jonesboro Craighead Public Library will host story time and craft activities during throughout the week. Info: libraryinjonesboro.org.
ASU will also be hosting various events throughout the week, including a Blood Drive sponsored by the Student Nursing Association on Friday, April 20th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
