Patents Seminar to be offered by ASU Small Business and Technology Development Center on the ASU campus

The ASU Small Business and Technology Development Center
will be offering a special workshop – Intellectual Property & Patents:
Turning Ideas into Assets – A Practical Guide to Patents, Copyrights &
Trademarks
on Thursday, March 15h from 1:15-4:30 pm in room 110 ASU
Delta Center for Economic Development.

The instructors will be Joe Calhoun and Rashauna  A. Norment both Registered Patent Attorneys with Calhoun Law Firm.  The workshop will provide attendees with legal fundamentals of acquisition of patents, copyrights and trademark rights.  It will also provide information on the basics of how to protect intellectual property rights and how to avoid (or react to) other claims of infringement.  

The workshop is also approved for 3 hours CLE credit.

The seminars are being co-sponsored by the Jonesboro
Regional Chamber of Commerce, East Arkansas Planning and Development District,
Downtown Jonesboro Association, First Security Bank, Liberty Bank of Arkansas
and Simmons First Bank. 

Registration is $40 per person ($30 for Jonesboro Chamber
and DJA members, & $20 for ASU Faculty, staff and students).     To
