Rachel's Challenge is a national non- profit organization, dedicated to creating safe, connected school environments where learning and teaching are maximized. Based on the life and writings of Rachel Scott , the first victim of the Columbine tragedy in 1999 ,Rachel’s Challenge provides a continuous improvement process designed to awaken the learner of every child. We motivate and equip students to start and sustain a chain reaction of kindness and compassion that transforms schools and communities.
More than a one -time assembly, Rachel’s Challenge provides sustainable evidence based and driven improvement process that meets SAMHSA (Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration) requirements. Our partner schools achieve statistically significant gains in community engagement , faculty/student relationships, leadership potential and school climate, along with reductions in bullying, alcohol/tobacco, and other drug use .
We offer several Title I qualified school improvement solutions that can include: evidence driven and PBIS focused Elementary, Middle School /Junior High and High school kick off presentation packages, corresponding curriculum, community and parental outreach assemblies , excellent Professional Development trainings for staff, and research- based Multi-Dimensional Needs Assessment tools for whole school climate and culture analysis.
