Once Upon A Time..Literacy Day Camp
(4-9 years)
This camp focuses on children's literature and Fairy-Tales. Your child will delight in the experience of being part of their very own fairytale. Chidren will first learn about the fairy tale then experience different activities relating to it. Each day includes dance, storytelling, dress up, prop making, music and more!
Day 1: Down the Rabbit Hole Day-Alice in Wonderland children will make their own "mad hats" and then enjoy a Mad Hatters Tea Party. And fall down the rabbit hole to play games.
Day 2: Leap Frog Day… Princess and the Frog- Children will make frogging good snacks, alligator crackers, and glo stick fireflies. We will also be playing frog games and singing frog songs.
Day 3: All Tangled Up. Rapunzel- Our princesses and prince's will make Maximus stick horses or Rapunzel hair barrette holders and barrettes. Will tangle some great snacks. Our games will include horse races and all kinds of galloping fun.
Day 4: Shreking Good Day- Shrek and his fairytale friends will be the basis for making dragons, fairy tale charm bracelets. For snack, we will be making gingerbread men and we will finish the day off with a game of pin-the-tail on Donkey.
Day 5: Enchanted Camp-Day campers will learn about different fairy tales and then make fairy wings or knight shields. Have enchanted snacks and play enchanted games.
Time: 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
