Women’s Day at NEA Baptist

In the spirit of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Go Pink Arkansas (led by Susan G. Komen) on October 3, NEA Baptist will be hosting the first ever Women’s Day at NEA from 9 am – 12 pm, giving free mammogram vouchers to those who qualify. NEA Baptist is the only facility in the region offering 3D Mammography - the next dimension of mammography.

Other screenings will include blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, skin check vouchers and more.

In addition to offering free women’s health screenings, Women's Day at NEA will also provide educational information on various women’s health topics and fun activities such as goody bags, door prizes, a pink inspired photo booth, pink manicures, beauty tips from a licensed aesthetician, exercise and nutrition information from a fitness expert and other ways to celebrate Go Pink day are also planned  Opportunities to remember or honor a loved one who has/or is battling breast cancer will be available.

NEA Baptist will also be making a donation to Susan G. Komen – giving $5 for every participant who shows up wearing pink.

According to Susan G. Komen, it is estimated that among U.S. women there will be 232,670 new cases of invasive breast cancer in 2014. Studies have shown that early detection (mammogram) is the key to survival of breast cancer.
