St. Bernards and the Arkansas State University College of Health Professions will sponsor a special wound care symposium on the ASU campus on March 30. The conference is designed for nurses, advance practice nurses, physical therapists and other healthcare professionals and is offered at no charge. Speakers will talk about common lower extremity wounds, conditions that can impair wound healing, parameters to include in comprehensive wound assessments, advanced and active interventions for non-healing wounds and more. Registration may be accomplished by contacting the Education Department at St. Bernards -- 870-207-4909. Participants can receive contact hours for the program. The symposium will be in Riceland Hall at the Fowler Center on the ASU campus, 201 Olympic Drive, Jonesboro.
