What is Parenting Separately? PS is a 3 hour class designed to meet the needs of single, divorced and divorcing parents. Participants will achieve 3 goals:
- Learn to restore and rebuild your life by effectively coping with the emotional/psychological distress created by divorce.
- Learn to protect and guide your children through the lifestyle changes created by divorce
- Learn to establish a cooperative and collaborative co-parenting relationship
Who is the Parenting Separately class for? It is designed for any divorced, divorcing, or single parent. Even if conflict with your co-parent/partner is high, you can learn the principles of Cooperative Co-Parenting. Do both biological parents need to attend the class? While it would be best if both biological parents complete the program, it is not required. Some parents prefer to attend separate sessions from their co-parent.Is there any cost involved? Parenting Separately is offered at no cost to the public and is made possible by the United Way of Northeast Arkansas. Where is Parenting Separately offered? Presented on a monthly basis at the Jonesboro Public Library and every 3rd month at the Paragould Community Center. How can I register?
