Jonesboro Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) members were elected and received awards at the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference.

Aaron Carroll, an Arkansas State University - Jonesboro student, was
elected to serve as the Southern Region Vice President at the PBL
National Leadership Conference held in Nashville, Tenn., July 9-12. As
Southern Region Vice President, Carroll will oversee the 12 southern
states that make up the Southern Region of Phi Beta Lambda. The Southern
Region Vice President is one of the nine national officer positions that
govern the nearly 11,000 student members of PBL.  Carroll is a
Chemistry/Pre-Med student at ASU, and he is the son of Janet Carroll of

Lambda, placed first in Contemporary Sports Issues and placed fifth in
Sports Management and Marketing at the PBL National Leadership
Conference. The competition was part of a four-day program for PBL

competition tests PBL members' knowledge about current national and
international issues in the sports industry, and the Sports Management
