Presidential Search Advisory Committee receives four more applications

The Presidential Search Advisory Committee received four applications and supporting materials during the past week.  This brings to eight the total number of individuals who have applied for the position of president of Arkansas State University.

 

The latest four applicants are:

 

-- Dr. Martin M. Shapiro of Stamford, Conn., professor of marketing, management & international business, Berkeley College of New York and New Jersey.

 

-- Dr. Andy Spears of Hendersonville, Tenn.,  director of government & external affairs, Tennessee 911 Board, and adjunct professor of professional ethics at Tennessee State University.

 

-- Dr. William R. Trumble of Canton, N.Y., professor and immediate past provost and vice president for academic affairs at State University of New York at Canton.

 

-- Dr. Ron Wood of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., business strategy executive with Axiom/RWD Alliance, and visiting associate professor in business, Center for International Programs, Empire State College, State University of New York.

 

The Presidential Search Advisory Committee will review these and previous applications at its next meeting, Thursday, Sept. 30.

 

Information on nominating a qualified individual or submitting an application, along with a description of the ASU System and the position announcement, is available on the Arkansas State University Presidential Search website, http://presidentialsearch.asusystem.edu.  Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but interested individuals are encouraged to submit applications by Oct. 15.
