2010 Northeast Arkansas Business, Education & Creative Economy Conference

Small business owners, entrepreneurs, governmental agencies, lenders, and economic development groups will converge on Arkansas Northeast College Thursday Oct 14th for a 2 day conference "Sharpening Your Competitive Edge".  This free conference will begin at 12 noon on Thursday with meetings on entertainment industry & creative economy opportunities for small businesses throughout the Delta. Afternoon session will be followed by a reception.

Friday, Oct 15th will begin a 8 am with a breakfast With Lenders to allow attendees to meet area commercial and economic development lenders as well as governmental agencies on funding issues.  The rest of the day will be panel discussions on:

Understanding Arkansas's Business Climate The New Marketing Imparative for small businesses Building Strategic Relationships to Leverage your business Government procurement opportunities and much more.

The event is free and open to the public but anyone interested in attending must register to ensure sufficient refreshments and material.

The event is funded by the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development.  The program was developed by the Arkansas Human Development Corporation with assistance from the ASU SBTDC
