 ASU - Jonesboro: Center for Regional Programs undergoes name change Arkansas State University's Center for Regional Programs has changed its name to Continuing Education and Community Outreach (CECO) to better reflect the department's mission."While our name is changing, the Continuing Education and Community Outreach staff will continue offering students a high-quality educational experience through Arkansas State University by working side-by-side with our existing partners." said Dr. Michael Bowman, interim dean of the department. "Additionally, CECO looks forward to establishing new partnerships that will extend credit and non-credit opportunities to communities throughout the region and beyond." The program works closely with ASU's colleges and Arkansas communities to respond to the needs of the region and state. The Continuing Education and Community Outreach program provides an opportunity for individuals to pursue or enhance their education through professional development training, a wide array of community education classes, and high school concurrent enrollment courses which provide an opportunity for eligible high school students to earn college credit. # # # [+] add comment |
