Road Trip to Catherine’s Landing
Jul 19, 2011

Not able to get away to Florida for a summer vacation? Hot Springs is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Jonesboro, and Catherine's Landing is sure to be fun for the entire family.

Catherine's Landing has announced Brad Boler as general manager, as well as a variety of new activities to offer guests the ultimate outdoor vacation experience.

“Since the opening in April, we’ve continuously added different amenities and activities to Catherine’s Landing in order to make it unlike any type of resort in the state,” said Yale Spina, RVC Vice President of Operations. “Brad brings much resort experience and is enthusiastic about making Catherine’s Landing successful and, more importantly, a memorable vacation to each and every guest,” Spina added.

Some of the activities that Catherine’s Landing has added include a pool aerobics class, volleyball net, golf cart rentals, two additional large grills in the pavilion, and a shaded activity area for kids. The activity area includes two stations for bean bag toss and two for ladder golf, along with picnic tables. It’s located right next to the large pavilion so it’s close to bathrooms and the ice/beverage machine. Along with other water rentals, the resort now has a brand new 21’ pontoon boat available for guests to rent that includes life jackets and an inner tube. And, if guests want to visit Garvan Gardens, they can receive complimentary tickets from the front desk so they won’t have to pay the entrance fee. Boler says Catherine’s Landing has been adding new offerings and activities almost every week and will continue to do so.

“These activities allow guests to stay active and enjoy the outdoors. And, guests are really appreciating the fact that the water activities give them a chance to beat the heat,” said Assistant Manager Ian Horgan.
