SynTel’s SPS Mail Outsourcing Service Increases Volume 960 Percent
Jul 27, 2011
- New leadership team, hardware provide foundation for growth in first half of year. -

In response to customer demand for outsourced mailroom services, SynTel LLC’ launched Syntel Premier Solutions (SPS) in the fall of 2010. The outsourcing service has grown dramatically in 2011, increasing monthly mail volume by more than 900 percent in the first half of the year.

SPS processed and mailed more than 8,000 pieces during the final month of 2010. In June, the volume hit 85,000 pieces of mail, with SPS serving customers from the banking, utilities, insurance and media industries. Customers cite the convenience and cost-effectiveness of outsourcing customer communications as the primary benefit of utilizing SPS.

"SynTel has been fantastic to work with, and the customer service and knowledge they possess are outstanding,” said Brittany Theriot, information systems officer for Breaux Bridge, La.-based FM Bank. “From implementation we were walked through every step of the process and provided the guidance necessary to make the switch as seamless as possible and every statement cycle has been produced and gone out on time without any glitches.”

SynTel made several investments in both leadership and hardware to accommodate the volume experienced to date, as well as prepare for future growth. On the management team, SynTel tapped the following executives:

•  Bryan Barnes, SPS operations manager. Barnes oversees the daily activities of SPS.  Over the years, he has been responsible for more installations than any employee in SynTel’s history.
•  Jeremiah James, senior vice president and manager of operations. James oversees all of the technical services and operations related to SPS and other SynTel products. He is also responsible for developing and testing new products.
•  Sheldon Koehn, mail production specialist. Koehn is responsible for managing all aspects of mail production, from receipt of the file to delivery to the Post Office.
•  Steve Watkins, sales manager. Watkins is responsible for all sales efforts of SPS to customers in all industries. He brings more than 20 years of sales and communications experience to SynTel.

SPS offers companies an affordable solution for secure document delivery with one simple solution. SPS improves reliability, while reducing mail processing, delivery costs and capital equipment investments. The service also improves compliance with privacy regulations, while enhancing consumer communications and reducing physical plant requirements and storage.

“Communicating with customers through mail does not have to be a time and cost-intensive process, “said Harry Herget, co-founder and director of Marketing for SynTel. “SPS offers banks, utilities, hospitals and other companies that mail the ability to focus on their core business knowing that their sensitive documents are being processed and sent with the utmost attention paid to security, accuracy and cost.”
