Last month, Jonesboro Occasions teamed up with an amazing group of local merchants that all participate in Think Local, a group of Jonesboro business owners who want the community to support the city's economy by shopping at locally owned businesses.

The Think Local Shopping and Savings Guide was a special pull-out section in the November issue of Occasions. To enter the drawing, participants had to visit 18 of the 29 participating Think Local merchants: B. Marie Salon, the Cosmetology School of Designing Arts, Courtney Fitzwater Portrait Design, Enhancements Boutique, Fat City Grill, Froggie’s Full Sun, Gearhead Outfitters, Interior Design Plus, J. Christopher, Jonesboro Occasions, Law’s Flooring, Lensmasters, Maxx Nutrition, Munchy’s Specialty Sandwiches, Pagan’s Jewelry, Patty Cakes, Posey Peddler, Rockstar Clothing and Guitars, ScrapZing, the Sean Shrum Gallery, Skinny J’s, Soo’s Drugstore and Compounding, Steamroller Blues, Swank, The Shop, The Trim Gym, Union Glass Co. and Wilcoxson’s Kids Place.

At each place, a sales associate signed and dated the guide. Everyone that turned in a completed guide after visiting at least 18 of the local businesses was entered in a drawing with the possibility of winning more than $1,400 in vouchers from the Think Local merchants. What a shopping spree!
