Mr. Mike Leatherwood, MA, MSW, CPC will be the keynote speaker for the February CODC meeting.

Mr. Leatherwood is certified life coach, specializing in the area of substance abuse interventions and he has over 30 years of experience in the field of substance abuse services. He was the founder and director of The Third Step House, an award winning relapse prevention program in Louisville, KY and he was honored as a Kentucky Colonel for his outstanding contributions by the governor of Kentucky. He also began the outpatient program, “Chemical Recovery”, a faith-based intervention and treatment program so successful that over 400 groups were started in 7 countries.

Mr. Leatherwood has conducted hundreds of formal and informal interventions and he is the co-author of, “Some Sat in Darkness: A Spiritual Guide to Recovery”.

Mr. Leatherwood serves as a board member for Out of the Dark Inc.
