Reflecting Back on One Year of Little Hands
Feb 21, 2012

Hello all! This has been a crazy week in our household. We moved Saturday, which means my house is less than desirable, and London is turning 3 this week! Can you believe it? My very first Little Hands blog post was about the decorations for her 2nd birthday we'd just celebrated, which means we're coming up on the one-year anniversary of Little Hands on Jonesboro.com!

With a milestone so fun, my insdane house and no Internet still other than a handy dandy iPhone, I thought today that we could just reminisce about a few favorite Little Hands posts of the year. I went back and looked through them all, and came up with a few of my very favorite moments I shared.

Homemade Fruit by the Foot - I loved the tweets and comments I got back on that post. People tried so many different fruits, and they all sounded so good!

Making a Mind Jar - I still love this idea even though we don't have to use it so often lately. Don't worry though, Story is almost 18 months old, after all.

Patriotic Painted Toast - We did this several times in the summer, and My creative toddler enjoyed painting and eating her own toast each time. I can't wait for fresh berries to come in season for Story to try it!

Making a Kiddy Kitchen - This was our version of the entertainment center turned kitchen set.

Skillet Cookie - Do I really need to elaborate? Chocolate chip cookie made in an iron skillet. So good!

Childhood bucket List - This was an idea I had in the summer of things I want my children to experience one day, like pick wildflowers or stand at the foot of the ocean and see how small they are in proportion. Mostly things to remind them of God and what really makes up this life.

Last, but not least, Ziploc Painting! Oh my word, what an amazing thing. paint inside a gallon Ziploc bag and taped shut and to a table or door for them to mix colors and play to their hearts content with no mess! Perfect for a moving weekend.

Until next time,
Heather
