Pink Prayers for Ella recently took social media by storm in Jonesboro as a 4-year-old little girl was one of the youngest to undergo a 14-hour surgery to remove her "genetic anomaly" sized pancreas and harvested islet cells to inject into her liver to produce insulin...a modern day medical miracle. This modern day medical miracle is Ella Brewer.

Ella loves the cartoon Max & Ruby, anything PINK, making jewelry and is a champ at the tricycle races at Amplatz Children's Hospital at the University of Minnesota, which is 814 miles away. It's a place she will continue to call home for the next several months.

The Brewer Family, Scott (Dad), Crystal (Mom), Eathon (big brother), Ella and even Bolt, the dog, look forward to a time when they all can be home together. Ella and her Mom have been gone since early March, Ella's dad traveled in for the surgery in early April and Ella's big brother is awaiting his chance for the family to be together again.

A Boston Butt fundraiser is being hosted by Brewer family and friends and you can help! Several local businesses are taking orders thru April 17. Ditta Door & Hardware, Wilcoxson's Kids Place, Interior Design Plus & J. Christopher Toys. Pick up will be April 21 at Ditta Door & Hardware on Stadium in Jonesboro. Contributions may also be made to The Brewer's via special account established at Liberty Bank.
