Impact Wrestling to tape live show at ASU Convo
TNA's Impact Wrestling will host the first live television taping in more than a decade on March 28 in Jonesboro, organizers announced Tuesday.
Impact Wrestling star Matt Morgan and Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin teamed up Tuesday at a press conference held at Comfort Suites in Jonesboro to make the announcement. "The Immortal" Hulk Hogan and "The Icon" Sting will be back in action and making history at the Arkansas State University Convocation Center on March 28. The event begins at 7 p.m. Tickets for the live taping are on sale now at the ASU Box Office.
Perrin encouraged families to take advantage of special pricing, four tickets for $40, and attend this event.
"The city of Jonesboro has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, and we are very excited to have the opportunity to showcase our wonderful city to the world," said Perrin. "This area is rich in wrestling history, and it is exciting to bring Hulk Hogan and the live Impact Wrestling television show to Jonesboro."
Morgan presented Perrin with an Impact Wrestling championship belt during the event, and promised an evening of entertainment for fans.
"We are over the top to be going on the road," said Morgan. "The mood in the locker room is electric. Jonesboro is a wrestling town, and we are going to give them a show like they have never seen."
Impact Wrestling airs every Thursday on Spike TV at 7 p.m. (CST) and is regularly one of the network's top-rated shows.
