The Cardinals Caravan is Coming Back to Jonesboro
Jan 15, 2014

East Arkansas Broadcasters are bringing the Cardinal Caravan back to Jonesboro Jan. 20 at the Mall on Turtle Creek. Current Players Seth Maness, Keith Butler and Randal Grichuk, Cardinals Alumni Al Hrabosky, Andy Benes and Kerry Robinson, and broadcaster Rick Horton will be at the stop. Team Mascot Fredbird will also make an appearance. The event, from 12 noon to 2pm, will allow the first 400 kids 15 and under to receive an autograph ticket which guarantees one autograph from each current and former player. Due to high demand, autographs will only be available to fans 15 and under.

EAB has also announced the signing of an affiliation agreement with the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Network to broadcast the 2014 season on KWHF-FM, 95.9 “The Wolf”. The 2013 National League Champions will air a number of pre-season games starting in March, as well as the 162 games in the regular season, and any post-season playoff games.

“We’re very pleased that we can bring the Cardinals to Northeast Arkansas listeners.” said EAB Chief Operating Officer Scott Siler. “The Cardinals have a huge fan base in Northeast Arkansas, and the superior signal of 95.9 “The Wolf” will let listeners hear the action all over the region.”

The Cardinals add to the extensive sports offerings of EAB stations, which already broadcast Arkansas State University Red Wolves football, basketball and baseball, as well as the all-sports programming on KNEA AM 970 and FM 95.3 “The Ticket”, with over eight hours of local sports talk programming on weekdays and ESPN Radio on weekends.
