 Elliott named Jonesboro Police Chief Lt. Rick Elliott, a member of the Jonesboro Police Department since 1992, has been named as the city's new police chief. Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin made the announcement at a press conference this afternoon. Elliott succeeds Mike Yates, who resigned Aug. 25 following a 30-day suspension for posting derogatory comments on social media about a Jonesboro newspaper reporter. [+] add comment |
